Somehow it’s been 12 years since I started Rocket Apps
There’s absolutely been a lot of late nights solving weird bugs, and plenty of “how the fudge is this even happening?” moments along the way.
And I still can’t believe it.
What started as me building a custom Project Management theme for WordPress to solve my own problems (some of you might have been around long enough to remember Task Rocket), has turned into a full product lineup used by people all over the world. That was never the plan yet somehow here I am 12 years later, and I still have to pinch myself sometimes.
Over the years I’ve been motivated by building products to solve my own real-world problems, and then share them in the hope they can solve the same problems for other people too.
There’s absolutely been a lot of late nights solving weird bugs, and plenty of “how the fudge is this even happening?” moments during this journey. Solving complex problems is both fun and daunting at the same time, and when you finally have a working product, nothing can beat the feeling of accomplishment you get. That’s all part of the web development game: you make things, fix the problems you caused, repeat ad nauseam, and eventually release.
And a big part of what’s kept this going is the people using the products. Your feedback, ideas and even the bug reports all help shape the direction. If you weren’t here, Rocket Apps wouldn’t be here. Props to everyone who stuck around. You know who you are, and you’re all superstars.
For what it’s worth, for the first time I thought I should mark the occasion by running a 50% off promotion across all products. Just use the offer code 12YEARS at the cart or checkout and you’re good to go. I’ll probably do this every year going forward.
If you’ve been thinking about picking something up, now more than ever is the time.
See you in another 12 months.
